There are 72 species of seagrass found all over the world, from the warm tropics to the arctic circle. They provide much of the oxygen we breathe and are critical habitat to many species, many of which, we eat. They protect our coastlines and sequester carbon, helping in our flight against climate change. Yet we are also destroying them at unsustainable rates.
