Morning sun breaks through lingering storm clouds to light Balanced Rock atop one of many mesas, broken off from Cedar Mesa in Valley Of The Gods. Cedar Mesa holds the history of the Ancient Puebloan People in canyon ruins, petroglyphs and pictographs, and in 12,000 years of occupation left behind. Thousands of these Native American sites remain undiscovered and in need of protection.
