The Caribbean Spiny Lobster lives with the coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangroves within Atlantic Ocean. This lobster has no claws. They have two sets of antennae - with one pair that is longer then its body. They can reach a size of up to 60 cm (24 in) long, but typically around 20 cm (7.9 in). The diet is mostly composed of mollusks, but they also consume detritus, vegetable material, and dead animals and fish they find on the bottom. This lobster is a popular seafood item for human consumption and are caught by commercial and small scale fisherman.
